Privacy Policy

Effective date: 9 October 2026

1. Who we are

PublishMyLink (“PublishMyLink”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates an online marketplace that helps buyers discover publishers and arrange content placements, including guest posts and link insertions. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal data when you visit our website, create an account, use marketplace features, contact us or otherwise interact with the service. It should be read with our Terms of Service and the separate Data Use & Account Terms. Privacy contact: Privacy@publishmylink.com. General support: support@publishmylink.com.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect:

  • Account details, such as name, business name, email address, username, password credentials (stored in protected form), country and account role.
  • Business and publisher information, such as website URLs, niche, audience and traffic information, placement requirements, pricing, editorial guidelines, portfolio details and service history.
  • Transaction and payout information needed to process purchases, refunds and publisher payouts. Payment card or account credentials may be collected and processed directly by PayPal, Razorpay or another payment provider. We do not intend to store full payment-card numbers or security codes on our own systems.
  • Order information, including submitted briefs, article files, URLs, anchor text, buyer instructions, publisher responses, approval decisions, invoices, support messages and dispute evidence.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device information, log events, security signals, cookies and pages or features used.
  • Communications and information you choose to provide when contacting support, applying as a publisher, requesting a partnership or reporting a problem.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is strictly necessary and we specifically request it.

3. Why we use information

We use information to create and administer accounts; verify users and publisher listings; match buyers with relevant publishers; facilitate briefs, approvals and placements; process payments, refunds and payouts through payment providers; maintain transaction records; provide support; investigate disputes, fraud, abuse and security incidents; improve marketplace functionality; enforce our terms; comply with tax, accounting, court, regulatory and other legal obligations; and send service notices. We may send marketing messages only where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent. You can opt out of non-essential marketing communications.

4. Our data-selling position

We do not sell personal data for money. We do not share personal data with third parties for their independent direct-marketing purposes. We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate the marketplace, including hosting, analytics, email, customer-support, identity-verification, fraud-prevention and payment services. These providers may process information only as permitted by their contracts and applicable law. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect users or the platform, to resolve disputes, or as part of a merger, financing, restructuring or transfer of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Payment providers and international processing

When you pay or receive a payout, the relevant provider may collect information under its own privacy notice and terms. PayPal and Razorpay independently determine certain processing activities. We may receive transaction status, payer or payee details, payment references, limited account details and fraud or compliance signals. Information may be processed in countries other than yours, depending on our service providers. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, we will take reasonable steps to use them.

6. Cookies and security

We may use essential cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security, session management, preferences and fraud prevention. Optional analytics or advertising technologies, if introduced, will be configured and disclosed as required by applicable law. We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards, such as access controls, protected credentials, limited staff access and monitoring. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure; please use a strong password and notify us promptly of suspected account compromise.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by information type and applicable law. When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it, anonymise it or securely restrict access, subject to legal retention duties and legitimate dispute or security needs.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, obtain a copy of, or object to certain processing of your personal data, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a relevant authority. These rights are not absolute and may be limited by legal obligations, fraud prevention, transaction records or another lawful basis. To make a request, email Privacy@publishmylink.com from your registered email and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law.

9. Children and changes

The marketplace is intended for adults acting personally or on behalf of a business, not children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can assess and take appropriate action. We may update this Policy as our service or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date is subject to the revised Policy to the extent permitted by law.
